INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Black Psychology and Therapy
Black Minds Matter Psychotherapy
Whites and non-Whites have had radically different historical journeys to becoming residents in the United States. The fulcrum is slavery. Slavery provided all of the wealth enjoyed by the original White people who created the United States with White supremacy at its’ core. The legacy of slavery lives on in the form of systemic racism and anti-Black racist policies which enforce brutal hierarchies that are ever-present in American life. Any psychotherapist engaging with transgenerational trauma, anti-Black racism, or any of the many ways that structural and systemic anti-Black racism organizes a person’s life, would do well to understand the impact of those realities from a potential client’s perspective.

From here, your psychologist will implement a program to try to solve the problem
